Beyond the Wall

In this painting, I explored hyperrealism and symbolism inspired by the death of my cat, Picasso, whose image is graffitied on a wall. This personal loss prompted me to delve into the broader theme of mankind's destruction. Through hyperrealistic elements like a snail and field flowers, I juxtaposed the earth's natural beauty with symbols of decay, such as broken walls and bricks. This duality captures the contrast between the inherent splendour of our world and the ruin we often inflict upon it.
